A decision

Ok Freinds. The end of the school year got very busy for me and I did not spend time pushing to see who was still interested in golf in Wisconsin. However, Bemus and I just decided we are going to make it work, even if it is just the two of us.

So here is the deal. Bemus is in Chicago for work June 25th. I am going to meet him in southern Wisconsin on the 28th (which happens to be my 47th birthday) or the 29th if that works out better. We are going to play golf in the AM on the 29th and then go to Summerfest in Milwaukee for beer, food, and music. We will book a hotel somewhere in the area to crash. Then we will probably play more golf on Saturday then head home.

Come join us. Chris is obviously getting married and becoming a father, but I am hoping some of the rest of you can break free.

'07 Wisconsin Golf

Hello All,
i just figured this blog stuff out. Why not just cc all emails? i am confused and never blogged before, hope it works. I am pretty much open all summer weekends. june 29 weekend works. i do have mtgs in june 25-28, but can leave 28th afternoon. planning on memorial weekend in KC unless chris picks this weekend. open the rest, so far. look forward to seeing any or all when ever.
i need to play golf more than 3-8 times a year.

A possible date

Hey Dave! You win the prize for being the first to respond. A shot and a beer of your choice.

Could you do June 28-31? That would give us the chance to do Summerfest as well as the golf. The only issue I can see with that weekend is that we may not be able to get on at Kohler because of the Senior Open. If you really want to play Whistling Straits we may need to look at a different time.

Chip and Chris seems to think there are lots of other good choices for places to play though.

I am off to DC in the morning. I am chaperoning 55 De Pere High School Orchestra students, including Hannah. We are going by bus. It should be a adventure. I will not have Internet access until Friday evening.

Another Option

Another option would be to schedule the outing in August so that we could also attend a Packers preseason game. Lambeau is a lot of fun. Major league tailgating. Even preseason gets sold out. This was the preseason game against Atlanta last year. We share season tickets in the 10th row of the south end zone.

This year the preseason games are on the 18th against the Seahawks and the 23rd against the Jaguars.

A new attempt to plan a summer golf outing

In December I sent out an email to as many of you as I could find addresses for about interest in a summer golf outing in Wisconsin. I recomended late June or early July because we could do Summerfest in Milwaukee as well.

I had several positive responses. So after a considerable lull, I am attempting to reinvigorate the conversation by launching this blog.

I have invited as many of our fellow classmates as I can to join. I thought of this as a "guy thing" so I did not include any of our female members on the permissions list.

Each of you has permission to post to the blog. This will allow everyone to see the conversation.
